The Dallas Business Journal recently announced the results for its ‘outstanding directors’. In the north Texas region, one of the winners is Dennis Cagan, Chairman of the Board, Copper Mobile. The awards intend to recognize the efforts and value of the directors of a company, who generally stay out of the limelight, but whose contributions play a critical role in the success of the company.
The award was organized by DBJ In conjunction with the National Association of Corporate Directors North Texas Chapter, and sponsors Bank of America, Ernst & Young and Haynes and Boone, the Outstanding Directors Awards dinner will be held at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science May 30.
A UCLA alumnus and an ex-US Marine, Dennis has been working in the hi-tech vertical for a very long time. He has been a board member with 47 corporate boards, and currently serving on 5, including Copper Mobile. He has founded and co-founded many successful companies. An industry veteran who has done business in 35 countries, Dennis has many achievements under his belt. He was the keynote speaker at the first COMDEX in 1979. He was also elected to the IT Hall of Fame – Channel Wing in 2011.
