    Time Management

Ability of clinicians and operational teams to organize patient visits, documentation, communication.

    Definition

Time Management is the ability of clinicians and operational teams to organize patient visits, documentation, communication, and administrative tasks efficiently throughout the workday.

    Why it matters

Strong time management helps clinicians complete visits and documentation promptly, supports timely billing, reduces overtime, and improves overall agency performance. While efficient scheduling can reduce the risk of avoidable LUPAs, visit timing and frequency should always be based on clinical need and the physician-approved plan of care.
